Human Resources Representative
Reports to: Human Resources Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (One (1) Hour Lunch)
Job Location: 3500 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43207- This position is primarily in person, with hybrid work capabilities.
General Overview: Under direct supervision, the Human Resources Representative supports various administrative tasks within the Department. This individual should consistently demonstrate Integrity, Gratitude, Excellence, and Leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Become and remain a DOT-certified drug test collector;
- Collaborates with HR Leadership to prepare and implement performance reviews;
- Become familiar with the various unions and their corresponding union agreements;
- Complete proper FMLA and Short-Term Disability paperwork;
- Maintains accurate and compliant records of active job openings and applications;
- Manages internal and external job postings;
- Reviews applications for union and non-union positions;
- Conducts preliminary phone screenings, and schedules follow-up interviews;
- May serve as an HR representative during interviews for other Departments;
- Prepares and distributes offer letters to candidates;
- Partners with other HR Representatives to schedule, coordinate, and attend career fairs to recruit both union and non-union positions;
- Supports the Company’s recruitment strategy by maintaining and developing relationships with other Departments and local organizations;
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence;
- May assist with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, and other compliance reviews;
- Assists in the creation of recruitment materials, including presentations, brochures, flyers, and swag orders;
- Conducts job analyses and maintains Company job descriptions;
- Supports the internship committee by assisting with planning and executing program activities;
- Communicates effectively orally and in writing;
- Maintains confidentiality and willing to sign a confidentiality agreement upon hire;
- Knows and adheres to all company policies and procedures and be able to communicate them effectively;
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required; associate degree preferred;
- One (1) to Two (2) years experience in Human Resources, administrative roles, or a related field;
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening (George J. Igel & Co., Inc. is a BWC Drug-Free Workplace and tests for marijuana);
- Must have reliable transportation;
- Must maintain an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) that meets the Company’s eligibility requirements
