Preventative Aftercare, a GJR Affiliate corporation, provides community-based services in Pennsylvania and Ohio to both adults, children, and families.
Summary of the position:
SIGN ON BONUS! We are looking for Mental Health Workers and Mental Health Professionals to serve in the Family Based program in Crawford and Venango Counties!
The Family Based Mental Health Worker (counselor) will work therapeutically with youth and their families providing individual, group and family therapy sessions on a regularly scheduled basis. The Family Based counselor will also provide families with 24/7 on call service when scheduled and comply with all on-call policies as determined by the Family Based Director, as well as develop clinically appropriate treatment plans for the youth and family. The counselor's hours are considered non-traditional based on referring agency and family needs; however, the work week is considered full time (40 hours per week). Employees are expected to work a minimum of two evenings (past 5pm) two evenings per week. On-call crisis line coverage as scheduled.

Administrative tasks are also assigned to the Mental Health Professional. The counselor's hours are considered non-traditional based on referring agency and client needs; however, the work week is considered full time (40 hours per week). Employees are expected to work a minimum of two evenings (past 5pm) two evenings per week. On-call crisis line coverage according to schedule.
Requirements for Mental Health Worker:
- The counselor must have a Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of two years direct service experience with children and adolescents in a CASSP system providing behavioral or mental health services.
Requirements for Mental Health Professional:
- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field.
- Licensure is preferred, but not required.
- Must have a minimum of two years direct service experience with children and adolescents in a CASSP system providing behavioral or mental health services.
