JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for finishing products according to written and/or verbal instructions, and complying with established company procedures, safety, and quality guidelines.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receives work orders and job assignments from Graphics Lead or Supervisor
• Operates a wide variety of commercial printing equipment
• Obtains and sorts printed products
• Measures and trims printed product according job specifications using Zund cutter and hand tools such as an x-Acto knife or retractable utility knife
• Assembles printed products according to product specifications
• Prepares and packs finished products for shipment
• Delivers finished goods to shipping department using pallet jack
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Cross trains on all graphics functions
• Other duties as required
SKILLS:
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately
• Ability to use judgement and experience to establish appropriate accept/reject criteria
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to stand 8 plus hours per shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 lbs. unassisted
• Frequent lifting and carrying weighing up to 80 lbs. assisted
• Visual acuity to perform job duties, including visual examination of finished printed substrates
• Sufficient hand dexterity required to perform job duties
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferable with custom printing exposure preferred
