CNC & Machine Operator
Core Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor various machines used in structural steel fabrication, such as saws, drills, and CNC equipment, in accordance with shop drawings and prints
- Load and unload raw materials, such as steel plates, beams, and pipes, onto machines or workstations. Ensure proper positioning and alignment for accurate cutting, shaping, or drilling.
- Inspect finished products ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished product based on project specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes. Make necessary adjustments to machine settings or processes to achieve desired outcomes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and machine guarding. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to accurately set up machines and determine required dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct daily machine inspection reports detailing product acceptability and downtime. Perform routine machine calibration and maintenance tasks, such as blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning, to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with supervisors and production teams to prioritize and schedule work orders. Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks to meet production targets.
- Verify and/or modify CNC files based on shop standards for best machine operation.
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production quantities, and any maintenance or repairs performed. Provide regular progress reports to supervisors or team leaders.
- Seek opportunities to improve machine operations and efficiencies. Make suggestions for process enhancements, tooling upgrades, or workflow optimizations to enhance productivity and quality.
- Physical use of hand tools to set up and adjust equipment.

- Mechanical Aptitude - Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve machine malfunctions or issues. Ability to perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Safety Awareness - Strong knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to machine operations. Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures, machine guarding, and safe material handling practices.
- Communication skills - work in a collaborative team environment that requires good verbal communication skills.
Job Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience as Machine / CNC Operator
- Pre-employment drug screening required
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed
- Manufacturing experience is preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Steel Toed Boots/Shoes
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Strong attendance record, positive attitude, and desire for long-term employment
- Ability to communicate effectively with lead supervisor and team

Full Time Hours of operation
- 6:45AM to 3:30PM Monday-Friday (40 Hour Schedule)
- 5:45AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday (50 Hour Schedule)
- 5:45AM to 10:45 AM Saturday (55 Hour Schedule)
- Overtime as scheduled, typical workweek runs between 40-55 hours
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
