KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral forms with trainees, staff and the public; must be able to perform physical requirements of the job; ability to drive Van/Truck with attached trailer; successful completion of orientation program and complete annual computerized training and testing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduate and three (3) years’ work experience in the safety field and preferred experience in the staff training in the required areas. Valid South Carolina driver’s license and good driving record. Computer skills required.
TRAINING DUTIES:
>1. Arrange/Coordinate scheduling new hire orientation with all departments
2. Provide training to new hires.
3. Provide re-certification training as needed
4. Obtain and maintain certifications in First Aid, CPR, Fire Safety, Defensive Driving, MANDT and others as required.
5. Complete certificates for training courses and provide all training documentation to Human Resources, manage training records with Human Resources.
MAINTENANCE/SAFETY
1. Ensure that preventative, monthly, semi-annual and annual services are performed (Sprinkler, Backflow, HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Coordinate all Fire Extinguishers/Safety/ Alarm System Inspections)
2. Ensure that local and or state inspections are completed
3. Ensure that the fire extinguishers are checked monthly
4. Ensure that the facility is free from obvious hazards and equipment are in good working order.
5. Performs or coordinates repairs and facilitates building maintenance
TRANSPORTATION SAFETY
1. Schedule routine maintenance
2. Provide weekly vehicle checks
3. Assist with getting vehicles to and from the service center
4. Assist with driving routes as needed
5. Maintain vehicle service records.
CONSUMER TRAINING
1. Oversee the lawn care service (Service contracts/billing/scheduling)
2. Assist with training on and off site as needed
3. Enter payroll data as needed
4. Provide inventory checks of equipment
5. Ensure lawn equipment is serviced and working properly
Perform other related duties as required:
1. Assist with recycling crew if needed
2. Attend training as required
3. Complete online training annually
4. Work closely with Day Program Managers
5. Assist with community involvement for activities with participants.
6. Perform other related duties as required
