Employment for the selected candidate(s) is contingent upon the successful completion of a GBI background investigation including criminal, credit and driver's history checks, polygraph examination, fingerprinting and drug screening. *********************************************************************** The GBI follows the Federal statute regarding illegal drug use and is a drug-free workplace. Although some states have legalized recreational drug use, applicants who currently use illegal drugs or controlled substances will be subject to disqualification from employment with the GBI.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under supervision, analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate business processes. Provides installation, network access, control and troubleshooting for computers.Develops expertise in team’s operational processes and in GBI’s IT policy framework. Ensures State’s security standards are followed for new system builds, configurations, and maintenance. Trains internal employees (including Executive staff) on the use of a variety of technology solutions and software applications. Resolves moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical and customer support issues under general supervision. Participates in the development of IT standards and guidelines and ensures published policies, standards, and guidelines are followed.Ensures proper installation, configuration and maintenance of operating system equipment, software, and systems to include Windows 10 and Office 365. Creates/modifies/analyzes reports, documents and spreadsheets in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Provides operational support for end-user computing system design and deployment projects. NOTE: This position may require some travel and operating a state vehicle. A valid Georgia driver’s license is required.
