Minimum
Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field which includes three (3) years in a managerial or supervisory role; or seven (7) years of related professional experience which includes
three (3) years in a managerial or supervisory role; or three (3) years of experience required at the lower level Mgr, Business Ops (GSM010) or position equivalent. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or
intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.

Preferred
Qualification:

Two or more years of experience managing professional staff who manage construction or renovations projects and project budgets with a value of $1M or higher.

Five or more years of experience managing construction or renovation projects from programming, design, construction, to project close-out in a correctional or industrial environment.

Two or more years of experience developing a capital improvement plan for a large scale correctional, university, or industrial environment.

Sound understanding of state purchasing rules and regulations.

This position is based in Forsyth at SOSTC Headquarters and requires a minimum of 50 percent of the work week in Forsyth. The remainder of the work week is spent in the field on project site visits.

This position serves as the Mgr. 2 who manages a team of Project Managers in the Design and Development unit who manage multiple capital improvement projects from inception, design, construction, to completion which includes budget tracking and purchasing responsibilities.

Occasional overnight travel or long day trips are required.
