JOB SUMMARY:
Under supervision of the Badge Office Supervisor, the Badge Office Specialist performs frontline identification (ID) credentialing functions. Due to the nature of this work, the employee is responsible for maintaining the storage and confidentiality of large amounts of security sensitive information and personal identifying information. The employee must adhere to all credentialing requirements as set forth in the airport security program and TSA security directives. All work performed by the employee is subject to regular audits by the TSA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Process applicant fingerprints and submit biographical data of ID applicants for security threat assessments in the methods required by TSA security directives.
- Coordinates classes for SIDA, non-movement driving, and other trainings through the use of a computerized training system.
- Produce and issue the appropriate ID badges through Identity Management software.
- Receives and responds to requests for information and assistance from customers, staff, tenants and the public and provides referrals to appropriate resources.
- Works with Airport Lost and Found Software and works with a Uniform Police Sergeant to assure property is stored, maintained, and released in accordance with Airport Policy and Procedure. Utilize Genetec Badging Solution and Genetec Access Control System to assign access rights.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or GED and 2 years of successful office/clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of word-processing, spreadsheet, database and other applications software.
- Ability to prioritize the workload.
- Ability to organize and maintain files.
- Ability to interact positively and professionally with customers, coworkers, administrators, supervisors and other staff and members of the public from widely divergent cultural backgrounds.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Work processes require the application of procedural knowledge of internal and external rules, regulations, TSA requirements and protocols related to the work of the department.
- Work is performed under general supervision with some latitude for independent judgment and action.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Trusted Agent Certification (ACE) needed within twelve (12) months
NOTES:
- Candidate must be able to pass the required FBI fingerprint-based criminal history record check, TSA Security Threat Assessment, and pre-hire and random drug and alcohol screenings.
- Candidate must maintain an airport level airport badge at all times.
