You Have:
- A four-year college degree in Finance or Accounting combined with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or other financial analysis roles.
- Experience with annual budgeting process, short and mid-term financial forecasting preferably in an integrated financial forecasting software tool, SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus.
- Possess solid process and project management skills combined with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Possess ability to understand and work independently with all areas of the company:
- Pricing/Profitability/Volume Analysis (supporting Commercial)
- Cost Analysis (supporting Operations and S&OP)
- Location/Operational Analysis (supporting Mills, Downstream, & Metals Recycling)
- Working Capital Analysis (supporting Inventory management, Credit & Accounts Payable)
- Location CAPEX Analysis (supporting Engineering)
- Knowledge of building reports and automating processes utilizing Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience analyzing data and trends to develop financial models and improve reporting.
- Experience building new board presentations, management presentations and competitor/market analysis with new insights.
- Knowledge data analytics languages, such as SQL or Python.
- Experience in supporting Merger and Acquisition due diligence analysis and merger Integration management a plus.
- Experience with manufacturing company preferred.
Your Purpose:
As a part of the FP&A team, you will be responsible for supporting Gerdau’s North American forecasting responsibilities within an integrated financial forecasting software tool, as well as reporting end-month results. Reporting to the GLN FP&A Manager within Finance, you will lead various parts of the budgeting and forecasting processes, building rapport with all business units within the company. Always looking for continuous improvement, you will be working to automate reporting and focus on bringing actionable analysis to all areas of the business (Commercial, S&OP, Operations, Inventory, CAPEX, Finance). This is an exciting position where innovation and new ideas with attention to detail and understanding of the business come together to add value to the company and leadership team.
Your Work:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and YTD budget to actual variance analysis, understanding key business issues to provide recommendations for actions.
- Lead SAP Analytics Cloud integrated forecasting system maintenance, enhancements, and coordination with other areas.
- Develop and enhance processes around SAP Analytics Cloud budget cycles.
- Develop training documentation, train users, and assist end users of the SAP Analytics Cloud system.
- Develop, maintain, and present various Power BI reports to show new and useful analysis to drive the business forward.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams to resolve a wide variety of problems or to create new processes or insights for the business.
- Analyze and report on main competitors and provide report to executive team.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc PowerPoint reports for presentation to the executive team.
