Production Operator Second Shift- 3pm-11pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspects and approves materials by confirming specifications
• Operates machine according to training and work instruction
• Performs visual inspection of the surface of injected, hot stamped as well as assembled goods according to customer specific requirements
• Performs rework based on instructions and samples provided
• Documents inspection results by completing reports/logs and inputs data into database
• Escalates repetitive defects immediately to Team Leader
• Ensures non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work environment
• Informs Team Leader prior to running out of materials necessary to continue production such as foil, etc.
• Supports other production workstations as required or assigned
• Efficiently cross-trained in all job functions (Injection Molding, Hot Stamping, Assembly, Inspection, Foil Application, Engle) within respective department with occasional or consistent rotation into other positions.
• Performs other tasks as needed or assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrates great attention to detail
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Knowledge of injection molding and hot stamping specific defects and appearances
• Advise Team Leader of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc.; assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations as well as federal, state and local regulations
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team or independently.
• Ability to quickly learn production equipment and inspection of materials/parts
• Ability to complete an assigned task in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness and must understand and follow all safety rules.

EXPERIENCE: Preferred two years previous manufacturing experience
