Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials within our warehouse environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
- Build and assemble pallets for storage or shipment.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory levels by accurately tracking materials using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Ensure that all materials are stored safely and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in materials handling or a similar role within a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or order pickers is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
