Responsibilities:- Managing the accounts department: This includes overseeing budgets, cash flow, and audits.
- Producing financial reports: Hotel controllers regularly generate financial statements on the hotel's current financial status and may also forecast future revenue.
- Controlling expenses: This includes payroll and ensuring compliance with state and local laws.
- Safeguarding assets: This may include managing storeroom inventory and auditing invoices and requisitions.
- Prior hotel accounting experience is required.
- Strong understanding of the month-end closing process.
