Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow instructions and guidelines
- Work with close tolerances related to drilling, boring, reaming and milling
- Maintain a 40-hour workweek and ability to work overtime as needed
- Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements
- Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
- Construct tooling ranging in complexity
- Make sure all safety equipment and safety regulations are adhered to when operating machinery
- Perform other job-related duties as directed
- Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Must have manual machine experience
- Good working knowledge of standard shop mathematics including trigonometry
- Understand grinding principles and procedures
- Good working knowledge of metal cutting feeds and speeds, threading terminology and calculating angles for setting sine bars
- Able to work from blueprints, sketches and/or verbal descriptions for planning operational sequences
- High school diploma, preferred
- Minimum of 6 years experience in machining
- Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas as well as heat in the summer and cold in the winter
