Responsibilities
- Research, concept development, design development, execution, and implementation of environmental graphic design, signage, and wayfinding projects
- Design environmental graphics and signage systems for large-scale workplace, hospitality, corporate, cultural, and retail projects
- Lead project teams in developing project needs including budgeting, milestones, and expectations
- Manage projects and maintain consistent client communication throughout all phases of each project
- Meet and communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and project partners to develop strong working relationships
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, third-party vendors, and project partners to ensure high-quality project outcomes
- Contribute to the studio’s collaborative culture, supporting peers and junior designers
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–6 years of professional design experience
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in graphic design
- Demonstrated experience working in three-dimensional space, including environmental graphic design, signage and wayfinding (required)
- Strong typographic skills and ability to articulate concepts through a cohesive visual vocabulary
- Proven ability to spearhead and lead team efforts
- Highly organized with excellent time management; able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative and critical thinker who thrives both collaboratively and independently
- Passionate about design, art, and architecture
- Confident in taking ownership of projects and proactively solving challenges
- Skilled at iterating multiple design concepts quickly
- Able to clearly communicate design concepts and rationale to teams and clients
- Positive, open-minded personality with a strong desire for continuous learning and growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities, and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Expertise in industry-standard design software, especially Adobe Creative Suite; proficiency with CADTools is a plus

We work in a highly collaborative, non-hierarchical environment where team members are encouraged to share ideas freely and grow into leadership roles over time. Designers tend to stay with us for long tenures, thanks to our strong culture of mentorship and our commitment to both professional development and studio camaraderie.
Our hybrid work model currently includes two required in-office days per week, with the potential for this to evolve based on studio needs. Applicants must be based in or near New York City. We are anticipating a September start date.

Salary Range
$75,000–88,000, commensurate with experience. Please note that candidates seeking compensation above this range will not be considered.
