Construction Project/Revenue Accountant
We’re looking for a detail-driven Construction Project/Revenue Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, strong cash-flow management, and timely billing across multiple active projects. This role is essential in ensuring that project revenue, WIP schedules, and job costs are accurately maintained and that the accounting team and project teams stay aligned. What You’ll Do
- Prepare and maintain monthly WIP schedules and percent-complete revenue calculations
- Process progress billings, including AIA billing, retention, and final invoicing
- Track accounts receivable, monitor payment status, and support collection efforts
- Review job costs, budgets, and change orders in collaboration with Project Managers
- Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all project accounting activities
What You Bring
- 3 years of construction accounting experience
- Strong understanding of WIP reporting, job costing, and progress billing
- Experience with construction accounting systems such as Sage, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, or equivalent
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers, accounting staff, and leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with multiple projects simultaneously
Education & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction or project-based accounting
- Experience preparing WIP schedules and percent-complete revenue
- Familiarity with AIA billing formats, retention, and lien releases
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience supporting month-end close and reconciliation processes
