Job Description:
Gilchrist Aviation Law is seeking an individual of high character with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our firm as a Legal Assistant. This candidate must be able to perform tasks that require attention to detail and a high amount of concentration to perform accurate work. The ideal candidate is a team player, able to perform research, learn new computer systems, and perform data entry in a database. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important. This candidate must maintain a professional mindset and interact well with others in a business environment. We are seeking a candidate who can maintain a reliable work schedule and handle a fast-paced work environment.
The responsibilities of this position are highly technical. That is why our firm has a detailed training schedule that will build on the natural abilities of a candidate to teach them everything they need to know to become an effective member of our team. The employee will be fully paid throughout this training period and will gradually become eligible for our bonus program as they progress.
Our employees come from varying backgrounds, but highly relevant experience could be likened to positions in oil and gas land analysis, commercial lending, real estate title, most law firm practices, or any analyst position. A bachelor’s degree in business, energy management, legal studies, accounting, finance, or any other technical field is a bonus, but not a strict requirement. A quality candidate will have a proven track record of working well with others, an obsession with accuracy, and a positive working attitude.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field (preferred)
- Relevant working experience in a detail-oriented, collaborative position (preferred)
- Superb attention to detail
- Must be quick to learn new systems of organization and technology

Compensation:
Gilchrist Aviation is considering a wide variety of qualifications for this position, and compensation will reflect the candidate’s specific qualifications and experience. Our starting salary is around the average of similar positions in the area. On top of this starting pay, candidates will become eligible for our firm’s bonus pay. Our compensation for experienced employees is above the average for legal assistants/paralegals in the area, not including bonus pay and benefits.
