Incumbents in this position, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (, participate in the delivery of patient care which maximizes outcomes in a manner consistent with the hospitals and department’s mission, philosophies and in accordance with professional practice standards. Incumbents ensure safe patient care during a surgical procedure through the use of appropriate planning and implementation of patient care.

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $ to $, with a median wage of $ Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Core Responsibilities and Duties
Participates in the delivery of family focused patient care which optimizes the patient’s health status and outcomes by ensuring safe patient care during a surgical procedure.
- Follows standards of aseptic practice by prioritizing care and delivering appropriate care.
- Practices in a competent manner which promotes a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Maintains competency in all areas of the skills checklist and demonstrates flexibility in responding to unanticipated events / changes in assignments and scheduling rooms.
- Initiates appropriate follow-up strategies.
- Advance technical skills with new equipment and procedures as changes occur.
Prepares and plans for each surgical procedure in a manner consistent with the hospital and department’s mission, philosophies, and in accordance with professional practice standards.
Communicates and collaborates with healthcare team members as appropriate to implement a seamless plan of care.
Participates in activities that promote professional growth, ease of access, quality improvement and patient satisfaction.
