Position Purpose: The Corporate Development Officer builds and nurtures transformative corporate partnerships at the local and national level to advance our mission. Working from our Atlanta headquarters, this role develops sustainable corporate relationships that create meaningful social impact.
The position will be a part of the development team and work closely with our field operations, marketing department, executive leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure annual fundraising goals are met while maintaining stewardship-focused relationships with our valued corporate partners. Success requires strategic relationship-building skills, a collaborative style and the ability to align corporate partners' goals with our mission-driven work.
The position reports to the Senior Director of Development and is based out of the Atlanta headquarters with the opportunity for a hybrid work model.

What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership Development
- With assistance of the Senior Director of Development, create a market donor relations strategy to reach the goal of renewing and soliciting new partnerships to raise approximately $2 million in corporate funding for 2025 with an expected increase year after year.
- Define donor specific strategies that deepen engagement with Giving Kitchen and foster mutually beneficial, sustainable, mission-centered partnerships.
- Implement effective strategies to position GK for short and long-term revenue growth including diversification of the partner industry portfolio and comprehensive solicitations across multiple funding channels (i.e., organization support/sponsorship, cause related marketing, workplace giving/employment engagement, sponsorship of events).
- Maintain an adequate pipeline of potential corporate prospects through systematic and ongoing prospecting activities; proactively pursue networking opportunities and establish relationships with business leaders to seek qualified leads.
- Qualify prospects and design effective partnership deliverables based upon knowledge of partners, their business, and objectives in alignment with GK priorities.
- Collaborate with GK Executive Team and Field team to develop relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels across partner organizations.
- Assist in developing comprehensive solicitation plans that outline stakeholder involvement and strategic approach for cultivation and solicitation of partner commitment.
- In partnership with the Corporate Account Manager, develop and deliver creative and powerful presentations and proposals for corporate partnership opportunities; ensure organizational leadership involved in pitch are briefed and prepared for meetings.
- Negotiate deal terms and collaborate with GK finance and marketing teams to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and expand existing corporate partner relationships through on-going communication and solicitation as appropriate; ensure timely renewals and continued partnership growth YOY.
- Along with Director of Donor Engagement and the Corporate Account Manager, leverage opportunities for high-touch stewardship such as invitations to GK events, customized stewardship reports, etc.
- Work with Corporate Account Manager to maintain current prospect and partners records in donor management system, invoice via QuickBooks and ensure fulfilment of all payments and negotiated deliverables.
- In partnership with the Corporate Account Manager, ensure accurate and timely sponsor and partner recognition and acknowledgements.
Qualifications
Experience
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Fundraising, Business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Mgmt. or related field.
- 5 years of experience in corporate fundraising and/or partnership marketing, including corporate social responsibility, cause marketing, philanthropic support, sponsorship, employee engagement, and relationship management preferred.
- Proven experience in managing high-profile, complex accounts and partners including understanding Fortune 500 company goals to prepare presentations/proposals that are mutually beneficial to secure five-, six- and seven-figure multi-year commitments.
- A creative approach to developing new partnership campaigns to evolve with GKs strategic needs.
- Proficiency in working with donor/constituent database systems preferred. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
- A good understanding of current marketing principles, consumer trends, metrics, social and digital platforms, and methodology.
- Ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives translating nonprofit impact into business value.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, on the phone, and in person.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills that engage and persuade corporations to support GK.
- Excellent computer skills. Exhibit strong grammar/proof reading skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to rally others to a common goal.
- Ability to work under and remain calm in the face of continuous and multiple deadlines and evolving priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
