Glaucoma Center of Michigan is looking for Ophthalmic Technicians to join our growing team. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing exceptional patient care within an ophthalmology clinic, supporting physicians with diagnostic testing, patient intake, and medical record management. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical environment, utilizing clinical skills to ensure smooth clinic operations and optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of Ophthalmic Technician experience preferred
- COA, COT, or COMT certification a plus, but not required
- Goal oriented
- Professional and friendly attitude with patients and coworkers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment
Responsibilities & Skills:
- Obtain and document patient history and perform workups
- Visual acuity testing
- Applanation tonometry
- Refractometry
- Visual field testing
- OCT imaging
- Fundus photography
- IOL Master measurements
- EMR documentation, coding and scribing
Competitive wage based on previous experience and skill set.
We have office locations in Southfield, St Clair Shores, Dearborn and Rochester. Initial training and onboarding will be held at our Southfield location.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
