What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant (Float) position at GLBHC?
The Clinical Assistant assists the Center by the performance of “floating” job duties. The duties may encompass such areas as reception and medical assisting. Receptionist duties to include greeting patients/visitors at front desk, processing and scheduling patient appointments and providing support with general office work. Clinical Assistant duties include gathering patient information, obtaining vital signs, administration of tests/procedures, record completion and filing. Phlebotomist duties include performing phlebotomy services, preparing and sending specimens to appropriate labs.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of Medical Assisting program degree with evidence of training in clinic procedures and duties.
- CMA or RMA certification. State-test passing is required.
- Minimum of one year experience in a medical setting, preferably in office/clinic setting.
- Must be adaptable to changing work patterns/environments on a regular basis.
