What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUBSTITUTE-PLATT SPRINGS HEAD START CENTER position at GLEAMNS HR COMMISSION?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group.
- Implement the daily program according to the lesson plans furnished by the regular teaching team. Assist assigned teacher in any way possible.
- Assist in serving the meals and sitting with the children while they eat at the tables in family style.
- Keep classrooms, storage rooms, and bathrooms clean, neat and orderly.
- Be familiar with and follow all procedural policies.
- Report to Supervisor any special needs or problems of individual children.
- Report to Supervisor any cases of suspected child abuse or neglect.
- Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy on discipline.
- Must be cooperative and discuss center matters at the center.
