The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $106,000 to $160,000 annually. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.

Responsibilities
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
- Oversees all routine and special laboratory testing performed
- Demonstrates effectiveness in coordinating the laboratory departments’ operations
- Responsible for ensuring positive partnerships and cooperation with the medical staff, and other GFH departments and AMHS Laboratories to assure timely, accurate and cost effective testing for the diagnosis or treatment of all patients and responding timely to correct identified issues.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree in Business/Science, Health Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 7 years in a supervisory or management role required. Experience in management of a hospital laboratory preferred.
- Experience with Epic is preferred but not required.
- Experience interfacing with physician practices required
- Experience with NYS Department of Health preferred.
- Proven track record in creating vision, strategy, policies, and procedures in partnership with laboratory medical director required.
- NYS License in a laboratory profession is preferred
- MLS(ASCP) and specialist certification is preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituents including staff, leaders, medical staff, and the community.
- Possess a working knowledge of and effectively able to use Microsoft products and other computer-based programs as needed.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of general financial principles.
- Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
- Able to perform high level conceptual analysis, formulate plans and implement.
- Able to prepare complex reports, memoranda, and other written materials.
- Understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies related to assigned areas.
- Demonstrates commitment to customer service.
