What are the responsibilities and job description for the Switchboard operator position at Glenwood Regional Medical Center?
POSITION SUMMARY
Available to work morning, evening, and night shift. Answer all calls in a courteous and timely manner. Ability to update any-and all information when necessary.
Call out "on call" employees as needed in call group.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Six months of experience in a similar position is required.
- Correctly operate telephone equipment and other equipment used by switchboard personnel.
- Must have a strong visual and hearing acuity and manual dexterity.
- Strong oral communication skills and must have the ability to sit for long periods of time.
