Job Description:

Glimmer Glass Fiberglass Pools is looking for an experienced and driven Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing facility in Fort Plain, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in plant management specifically in the fiberglass pool or boat manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will present with a strong background in manufacturing operations, team leadership, and process improvement. As Plant Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of production, ensuring that our operations run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, while maintaining our high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, including production, quality control, maintenance, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall performance of the plant.
• Ensure that all production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Manage, train, and mentor plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of production to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
• Collaborate with senior management to set and achieve strategic goals for the plant, including cost control, process optimization, and product innovation.
• Manage the plant budget, including cost control and resource allocation, to achieve financial objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of plant management experience in the fiberglass pool or boat manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of leading and improving manufacturing operations, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control systems.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management, or a related field is preferred.
