The journey begins here - with Global- a 1st Flagship Company, we are currently looking for a Planner/Estimator.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Executing cost control procedures to properly estimate, execute, and account for tasks
- Maintaining weekly cost and schedule data to assess performance variances.
- Identifying, locating, and tagging equipment using ERDS or CASREP, and interface with requestors to ensure the correct item is removed. Validate requirements and verify funding for all external requests.
- Ensuring accurate estimates are developed and submitted for approval, and keep a record of all estimates, whether approved or not.
- Working closely with the Supply Department for material, subcontractor, and shipping and receiving requirements.
- Maintaining records of ERDS and CASREP removals for each vessel.
- Sending out weekly reports on the status of removal requests, schedules, and funding to Management and COR.
- Developing estimates based on Government tasking and governing documents.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum:
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- Sufficient knowledge and two (2) years' experience in the ship maintenance field or related military experience.
- Shall be knowledgeable of repair/maintenance procedures, rigging requirements and industrial hazards associated with this type of work.
- Must have a current state driver's license and meet the requirements of the company's Vehicle Safety Manual.
Preferred:
- Five (5) years' experience in a shipyard/repair facility. Former Navy Engineering background a plus.
