Research lab technician needs 1 years' research / genomics lab experience
Research lab technician requires :
3-6 month prior experience in a Core or Research lab setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate internally with co-workers and externally with Facility clients.
Sanger sequencing
Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail oriented with strong sense of work ownership.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Research lab technician duties :
Work closely with other facility staff to ensure timely delivery of samples to PIs. (20%) Other Facility related functions as needed.
Rigorous in keeping records related to the Sanger data production pipeline
Update clients on project progress as needed.
Performs other related work as needed.
Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
Performs other related work as needed.
