Global Furniture Group is seeking a dynamic and motivated Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This internship presents an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions within a global corporate environment. The selected candidate will work closely with our finance professionals and contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Support the accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing and collections.
- Participate in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
- Generate financial reports and assist in the preparation of management reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with the audit team to provide documentation and support during audits.
- Assist in addressing audit queries and implementing recommendations.
- Contribute to special projects as needed, providing support to various departments within the finance function.

Qualifications include:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
