What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specimen Processing Technician position at Global Information Technology Inc.?
Laboratory assistant needed to assist with the initial steps of preparing clinical specimens for laboratory testing. This position will report to the Center for Clinical Toxicology and Laboratory Support and be crossedtrained in the Rhode Island State Health Laboratories Specimen Processing and Central Services Units.
Responsibilities :
- Handling and labeling of environmental sampling submissions
- Data entry of clinical and environmental sampling submissions in addition to the preparation of clinical and environmental collection supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
Education and Experience :
Minimum education required : High School diploma
Shift : This position is for a shift from 8 : 30 AM through 4 : 30 PM Monday through Friday.
Position will be onsite at the State Health Laboratories 50 Orms St. Providence.
