GTS products and services span a spectrum that includes mission-critical combat systems processors; C4ISR; technology development including threat detection, biometric identification systems, and composite applications for munitions, armor and energy storage; avionics test systems; and lifecycle logistics support and repair. How your expertise will fit into the GTS’s World:
As a Human Resources Clerk I, you will be primarily responsible for Human Resources administrative duties, as well as employee relations-type activities. You will be an integral member in creating a positive environment for our customers—the employees.
What your working environment will be like:
This position is housed at our Headquarters location in beautiful Virginia Beach, VA just a few miles back from the ocean!
As a Human Resources Clerk I, you will be allocated your own workspace that will allow for total focus but also easy access to other team members!
This is how you will play a key part in our GTS ecosystem:
- Enter new hires into Costpoint and Employee Navigator, State New Hire Reporting and eVerify.
- Prepare new hire packages.
- Learn orientation procedure to serve as back-up.
- Follow up for missing forms from new hires.
- Follow up for missing forms if a new form has been implemented.
- Scan and electronically file new hire forms into Personnel Files.
- Learn benefits for any employee questions.
- Newsletter contributor (Employee Spotlight article & more).
- Work with Safety Officer on workplace accidents and preparing accident reports.
- Help to plan monthly, annual and holiday events.
- Assist with other Employee Relations/Engagement type activities.
- Help with Community Outreach programs.
- Backfill front desk when needed.
- General faxing, scanning, filing, copying when needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications you have that would make you a great fit:
High School Diploma (Required)
Previous typing/keyboarding experience (Required)

- Access DB Experience

Working Conditions:
Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM
On site only
Bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting of 20 lbs.
Pursuant to our contract with the federal government, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
