- Laboratory Tasks: Perform routine laboratory functions such as specimen handling, instrument maintenance, data recording, reagent preparation, and quality control.
- Specimen Processing: Prepare specimens for testing, including building worklists, aliquoting, and slide preparation.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, wear appropriate PPE, and dispose of biohazardous materials properly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and complete necessary training and competency checklists.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant training and math/science courses are preferred.
- Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, retain information, and interact professionally with coworkers and customers.
