What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Operator position at Globalsoft Solutions?
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA, subdivision, and construction survey drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Translate field-collected survey data into clean, well-organized CAD drawings
- Collaborate closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Maintain drawing standards and file management procedures
- Edit and revise plans based on feedback and updated survey data
- Assist in the preparation of maps, plats, and legal descriptions
Requirement Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in drafting or CAD preferred
- 5 years of experience in survey drafting using AutoCAD (Civil 3D strongly preferred)
- Solid understanding of surveying principles, field procedures, and legal mapping requirements
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with GIS and related geospatial software (preferred)
- Ability to organize and prepare engineering and surveying plans and details as required by specific review agencies
- Ability to research and evaluate zoning requirements for projects
- Experience working with deed plotting, right-of-way mapping, and land development plans (preferred)
