Glockner Finance provides commercial lending specifically for the Tri-State of Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Last year we supported our local economy by providing over $49,000,000.00 to small businesses right where we call home! We are now hiring a loan officer to join our growing team! This job requires the ability to evaluate customers and their businesses and determine their credit worthiness through the underwriting process. The ability to read financial statements, profit, and loss statements, and assess a potential client’s overall business and personal financial health is vital. The loan officer position demands strong interpersonal skills and the desire to work as a team to establish new go-to-market strategies for ever changing market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and win new business through customer referrals, business development, and building relationships with businesses across the Tri-State
- Provide an absolute first-class experience for existing customers throughout the life of their loans
- Make loan decisions up to $500,000.00
- Determine credit worthiness of individuals and businesses
- Research equipment values and overall market trends to ensure successful lending
- Have an in-depth understanding of interest accrual methods and be able to effectively communicate amortization schedules
- Receive and review credit applications and analyze an applicant's financials, credit standing, outstanding debt, payment records, property ownership and employment through the underwriting process
- Understand commercial lending policies and procedures and maintain replevin protocols across multiple states
- Assist in collection efforts: phone calls, late statements, repossession and collection meetings
- Collaborate with insurance and sales companies across the US
- Assist customers and their accountants in obtaining annual interest reports and balances needed for tax preparation
- Request and review annual tax returns and/or finance statements from existing clients
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of management experience related to finance or the financial health of a business.
Proficient with Excel, technology, and email etiquette
