Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and payers, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.
We are a cozy four-chair dental practice with one provider and a small team along with a comfortable environment.
Duties:
- Review and verify patient insurance information
- Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Resolve billing issues and re-submit claims as necessary
- Utilize medical billing software to process claims
- Stay updated on industry changes and compliance regulations
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in medical billing systems and software
- Knowledge of medical collection procedures
- Familiarity with medical coding such as DRG, ICD-9, ICD-10
- Understanding of medical terminology and records
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with medical billing and coding processes
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines and requirements
- Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
- Knowledge of reimbursement methodologies
