Position Overview: Roll Off Driver
Gold Medal Environmental is seeking a Roll Off Driver to join our dedicated team. Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive Roll-Off Trucks: Safely operate roll-off trucks to collect and transport waste from various residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns during pickups, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Safety First: Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition, reporting any issues.
- Waste Disposal: Properly load and unload waste at authorized disposal sites, including landfills and recycling centers.
- Documentation: Complete required paperwork, including daily logs, inspection forms, and waste manifests.
- Maintenance and Cleanliness: Keep trucks clean and well-maintained to ensure the vehicle’s longevity and presentation.
- Assist with Roll-Off Bin Placement: Help place or remove roll-off containers at customer sites when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Class A or B CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience driving roll-off trucks or other heavy-duty vehicles is a plus, but not required
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and DOT physical exam
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of safety regulations in the waste management industry preferred
- Experience with roll-off truck operations preferred
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting preferred
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts required based on the volume of routes and seasonal needs.
- Typical Work Hours: 50-60 hours per week, with early morning start times and flexibility for overtime as needed.
