Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Billing Compliance Specialist. The Billing Compliance Specialist will evaluate reductions to invoices and coordinate submission of appeals. They will be responsible for review of the appeal and assisting with submission to the clients billing platform. Other responsibilities include working with Clients, Timekeepers and other administrative teams within this firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES: :
This role offers a hourly salary and bonus opportunity. The hourly salary range for this position is $25.00 to $32.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package. RESPONSIBILITIES: :
- Assumes lead role in working with timekeepers, paper/manual reduced invoices, second appeals and Notification Letters to coordinate a successful response.
- Assists with submission of appeals in assigned vendor sites.
- Maintains working knowledge of client guidelines.
- Provides suggestions and may participate in developing strategies and business plans for Billing Compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of workflow, appeal process, and appeal tracking within third party system.
- Identifies and escalates any audit trend issues or system issues that may need to be addressed by leadership.
- Maintains daily Outlook Tasks.
- Manages follow-up communications with timekeepers for timely receipt of challenge forms
- Participates in department projects as assigned. forms.
- Possess outstanding interpersonal skills in order to work effectively within a team environment
- Excellent analytical ability, including ability to review, exercise judgment and evaluate Billing Guidelines and legal bill reduction in order to make quick sound decisions.
- Self-initiative and ability to work independently.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn multiple systems.
- Ability to adapt to deadlines in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
- MS Office with emphasis on Word and Excel

- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions; ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently.
