What you’ll Do:
Under general direction of the Community Services Director, this position is responsible for developing and implementing Golden Gate Regional Center’s diversity initiatives, responding to identified service disparities and promoting equitable access and utilization of Agency funded services. This position provides leadership throughout the Agency and community to identify opportunities to increase the cultural and linguistic competence of services provided to our diverse communities. As the central point of contact for diversity and equity efforts, this position will identify emerging trends, analyze available data, and collaborate with multiple entities to respond to ongoing changes.
DUTIES
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with state, county, and local agencies to help launch diversity and inclusion initiatives to meet GGRC’s diversity and inclusion goals.
- Using research and data analysis, identify diversity and inclusion challenges and opportunities for growth.
- Develop benchmarks and metrics for measuring and implementing strategic interventions and organizational goals that help to advance diversity and inclusion within GGRC.
- Develop proposals for special funding opportunities to obtain funding for agency disparity reduction initiatives
- Oversee and track budgets related to agency disparity reduction initiatives

Coordinate and facilitate GGRC’s Purchase of Service (POS) Disparity Public Meetings
- Assure that data is posted on GGRC’s website annually.
- Prepare all required reports related to diversity within the GGRC community.
- Act as primary liaison to Department of Developmental Services related to the disparity data.
- Working with the Directors of Regional Center Services and Community Services, identify and attend key inclusion and diversity conferences and participate in training activities.
- Develops and provides educational opportunities on the Agency’s diversity programs and policies. Respond to and/or refer, requests, inquiries, feedback, complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner and escalates issues to the appropriate Agency manager when necessary.
- Demonstrate commitment to community development and actively partner with Service Providers, community groups, social service agencies, advocacy groups, and Federal, State, and local governments through participation in meetings and the exchange of information.
- Delivers annual competency training to GGRC Board of Directors.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of contractual agreements relating to diversity activities and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, public health, social work or related human service field from an accredited college or university required; Master’s Degree preferred.

Minimum of four years of experience that includes:
- Experience in developing and implementing successful projects that promote equity in diverse communities and/or
- Experience in the field of developmental disabilities working clients and families from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Additional education and training in the area of cultural competency preferred
