Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead our organization in achieving its mission and goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of program management, particularly in the fields of social work and behavioral health. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage resources, develop programs, and foster relationships with stakeholders to enhance service delivery for individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to promote professional growth and effective performance.
- Develop and manage budgets for various programs, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Foster relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funding sources to enhance program visibility and support.
- Lead program development initiatives that align with the organization's mission and meet the needs of the community.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and implement improvements as necessary.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events to advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health or related field; Nursing, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Counseling, Public Administration etc.
- Completion of Florida’s 40-hour DCF Child Care Training
- Pass or currently have a Level 2 FBI/FDLE background screening clearance with fingerprinting
- Hold a valid Infant, Child, and Adult CPR & First Aid certification
- Trauma Informed Care Certifications and Training is a PLUS
- Proven experience in program management within social work or behavioral health settings.
- Strong administrative skills with a focus on budgeting and resource allocation.
- Demonstrated ability in relationship management, fostering collaboration among diverse groups.
- Experience supervising teams, with a commitment to staff development and mentorship.
- Knowledge of best practices in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with various audiences.
- A strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
