Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individual in their home
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating and toileting
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Experience in direct support or personal care roles preferred
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely when needed
- Proficient in meal preparation and medication reminders
- Familiarity with home and community care practices
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards others
