It is the responsibility of the Race & Sportsbook Writer to provide a high level of customer service to patrons while being an expert in our menu of race and sports betting options. USD $16.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.

Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Control Board Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
- Accurately write and pay valid race and sportsbook tickets.
- Have a full understanding of all wagers offered on the betting board with the ability to explain to customers as needed.
- Create starting banks for tellers and receiving and counting banks at the end of each shift.
- Observe and report unusual or suspicious wagering patterns or transactions.
- Clean and maintain the Front and Back of House work areas - inform necessary persons of any supply shortages.
- Ability to work weekends, night shift, and holidays as needed.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous accounting or money-handling experience.
- Ability to operate a 10 key calculator, computer, POS system, scanner, phone and photocopy machine.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada Gaming Card.
- Minimum age requirement is 21.
