Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Guest Service Representative to join our tight knit team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer serviceand ensuring a memorable stay for any of our visitors, working well with the rest of the team and communicating needs effectively. This role requires well polished and effective communication skills, a welcoming attitude, and the ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently and on time. Experience in hotel management, tourism, guest relations, or hospitality management is preferred, multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve our diverse clientele are also a nice addition but not necessary.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with any customer needs
- Manage multi-line phone systems and respond promptly to guest inquiries
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Handle guest requests and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Complete a daily task list tutored to employees to ensure building and guest needs are being met sufficiently.
- Foster positive guest relations by delivering personalized service and general positive attitude.
- Unpack, Price and Stock merchandise.
- Operate the point of sale system effectively to make merchandise sales.
- Educate and inform guests about relevant history, trivia, and information.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality management, front desk, and retail settings
- Good customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
- Excellent phone and email etiquette.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are desirable to communicate effectively with diverse guests (not necessary)
- Knowledge of Point of Sale systems and cash drawers.
- Ability to handle stressful high energy situations calmly, professionally, and positively
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with guest services, Tourism, and retail standards
