What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Field Representative position at Golden Valley Electric Association?
Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) is looking for an energetic individual as our Construction Field Representative as part of the Engineering Team located in Fairbanks, Alaska. This full-time position earns a competitive starting wage of $33.62 hourly. A day in the life of the Construction Field Representative can look like:
Use interpersonal skills to communicate and consult with new and existing members about their electrical service needs. Plan new construction of GVEA distribution facilities, including: residential and commercial services, preliminary engineering, staking & right-of-way, creating & redlining CAD GIS maps, and ordering materials. Use problem solving skills to inspect secondary facilities for commercial and residential members to ensure they meet NEC codes and GVEA requirements.
Eligibility
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year post-secondary coursework in the electrical field.
- Three years experience in the utility field with extensive customer contact.
- A valid Alaska driver's license.
