What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Education Coordinator position at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare?
Responsible for the provision of nursing/medical assistant orientation and teaching programs based on perceived needs of clinical staff at clinic locations. Conduct training and coaching to new and existing clinical staff to facilitate understanding of accreditation standards. Coordinates orientation activities, from new hire onboarding through completion of a unit-based orientation for new and experienced LPN/MAs. To include but not limited to clinical training, EMR training, assigning a mentor, etc. Develops and conducts presentations in concert with clinical supervisors that effectively communicate survey readiness information to all clinics, including, but not limited to, EOC and Life Safety Code orientation for new employees and continuing educational training programs regarding EOC and Life Safety Code issues for all staff. Assists in providing students with a positive learning experience through role modeling and providing appropriate feedback, as well as assists instructors in evaluation of students.
Education:
High School Diploma
Licenses/Certifications:
MO Registered Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - required
BLS or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire - required
BLS Instructor Certification or abiliity to obtain within one year of hire - required
Experience:
3-5 years of experience as a CCMA or LPN
