What are the responsibilities and job description for the Relief Cook position at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare?
Position performs necessary tasks to provide quality food, service, and nutritional care for our patients and customers at a 'D-10' level. Experience with cooking (retail, catering, or patient), hospitality (tray delivery, host/hostess, server, and phone center) and nutrition (special diets) desired. Individual must be dependable, a team-player and maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor at all times. Must be able to multitask and meet various time deadlines throughout day. This position is responsible to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary working environment. Position requires attention to detail while following recipes, preparing tickets, portion control, cash handling, general cleaning/sanitation, department standards and meal delivery. May cook/serve meals for patients, café customers, or catering/special functions or receive/place phone calls. Must be able to operate a variety of food service equipment and be able/willing to be cross-trained to work various food service positions for all hours of operation which covers shifts from 5:45a-7:00p. Position is mainly supper meal period and covers some breakfast and lunch shift meal periods. Henry County Food Handler card required.
Position works 9-10 days per two-week pay period as scheduled (works every other weekend, week days vary). Approximately 76 hours per two-week pay period.
