What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer position at Goliath Partners?
We're looking for a Sr C Engineer at a globally recognized NYC fund, with an Ex-HFT Trading Infra MD from Tower Research that is building out the firms entire HFT function.
About:
One of the teams is sub 1.5 micros currently, wants to get down further.
Firm puts in 1MM orders daily, so role has a lot of oversight and closely linked to multi-team strats in derivatives.
Client & server side API, ION across US & EU markets.
Multi-year roadmap milestones to hit with 2026 branched into FX for more models across CPU/GPU
Essential skills:
BS in CompSci, Math, Stat or similarly related fields.
C/C 17-23 experience (interviews will involve arrays/ graph questions, no OA/take-home).
Core experience in the trading space, ideally with a focus in options but in truth market agnostic (have an operation in equities & futures)
Experience in one or more of the following - order entry, kernel bypass, networking, multicast, exchange connectivity, low latency (micros).
Beneficial skills:
MS in CompSci, Math, Stat or similarly related field.
- Directly working in market taking/neutral currently (will wait 12~ months for an NC).
