What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Gonzaba Medical Group?
Summary: Will have a strong knowledge of all Human Resources Department functions. In coordination with the Director will assist in designing implementing and administering human resources policies in several functional areas of department.
Duties:
1. Oversees the HRIS (UltiPro) process.
2. Develops and revises policies and procedures as they relate to the HRIS (UltiPro) process as well as other general HR policies and procedures.
3. Provides primary point of contact and support with the HRIS (UltiPro) system
4. Uses Stay interview information to modify GMG’s retention strategy.
5. Administers Engagement interviews and uses information to advise and administer planned improvements to retain employees across departments.
6. Responsible for action plan fulfillments develops process for Managers to self-report their progress regarding implementing their retention and engagement action plans.
7. Trains new Managers on the retention program and provides continuous coaching and counseling to all of management on retention initiatives.
8. Develops turnover reports and related metrics and provides guidance to Director on improvement.
9. Oversees development on turnover costs and engagement dollars and communicates such metrics to Director and advises on best practices.
10. Assists with all benefit open enrollments and benefits administration.
11. Performs exit interviews and processes change of employee status. Uses exit information to recommend and implement retention strategies.
12. Is responsible for the HR presence on the GMG intranet with updates policies and employee handbook as needed.
13. Assists with developing and conducting HR related training classes.
14. Handles employee grievances as needed.
15. Handles moderate to complex employee related investigations as needed.
16. Assists with developing and revising job descriptions as needed.
17. Supports Managers with employment advice, assisting with performance management as needed.
18. Handles employee terminations and necessary paperwork.
19. Assists with assuring that positive employee relations are maintained. Assists with ensuring that the Organization’s management principles, policies and programs are consistently practiced.
20. Tracks and reports on statistical information on a monthly, quarterly, and year end basis.
21. Keeps abreast of current trends and practices in field of expertise.
22. Answers all incoming phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner.
23. Answers general information questions regarding all aspects of the Human Resources Department.
24. Acts as back-up and assist others in the department as needed.
25. Runs special Human Resources reports.
26. Assists with special projects.
27. Ensures complete discretion and maintains strictest confidentiality.
28. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: BA/BS needed but previous years of human resources experience may be substituted for degree requirements. 3 years of HR experience required. HR certifications a plus. Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal. Familiar with a variety of HR’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Bilingual required.
Computer Skills: Skilled in use of computer, typewriter, fax machine, copier. Knowledge of Word processing software, spreadsheet software, Internet, and database software.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: Office setting, well lighted and ventilated.
Physical Demands: Requires manual dexterity, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, walking, lifting up to 40 lbs. Close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Salary : $47,900 - $60,700
