A long established Immigration Law Firm is looking for an immigration associate attorney. The position is available for immediate hire and provides a great opportunity to learn and practice immigration law before USCIS, Immigration Courts, Family Courts, Federal Courts, and courts of appeals. The ideal candidate will prepare and attend interviews at USCIS, and will represent clients before the Immigration Court. The position requires working with detainees, parolees, and also includes bond representation, and Family Court cases. Candidates will perform legal research and writing as needed. Candidates should have great drafting skills, client communications management skills, and should be able to work independently and interact with government officials to move cases forward. Attorneys with prior experience are preferred but this is not a requirement. Bilingual in English and Spanish is also a plus. The ideal candidate must be culturally competent to deal with clients from diverse international backgrounds, nationalities, races, religions and sexual orientations, and will also have excellent written communication skills, be analytic, hardworking, a multi-tasker, have good interpersonal skills, the ability to set priorities, manage time effectively and will have a positive demeanor. Admission to any US state or territory is required; Texas Bar admission is a plus. Knowledge required: Proficiency with Word and Outlook.
