Recycling Collection Driver
Seeking self-managing contractor to help make a positive impact with us through Recycling in Abilene. Good Earth Recycling is a curbside recycling service focused on innovative environmental solutions in Abilene. We are seeking a driver for recycling collection from local homes and businesses. Many tasks you can set your own hours. Weekends and major holidays off. Flexibility with scheduling, and vacation time off. Additional responsibilities available for motivated person.
Position Responsibilities:
- Collection of recycling throughout Abilene using personal vehicle and company provided trailer. Collection schedule is Monday-Friday, every other week basis. Other tasks are performed on other weeks.
- Recording pickup information on provided route.
- Organizing recycling material once collected.
- Drop off recycling at our local facility.
- Load recycling for transport.
- Distribute local recycling to proper processing facilities.
Position Requirements:
- Desired candidates will have skills with organization, self-management, time management, planning, dependability, communication and attention to detail.
- This position requires physical labor and you must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must have Availability between Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8 am - 3 pm.
- Candidate must have 2 years of experience driving with trailers.
- Candidate must have vehicle with minimum towing capacity of 2500 lbs to use for recycling collection.
- Candidate must have a smart phone with working internet and GPS.
- Candidate must have a clean driving record, High School diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass a background check.
Pay:
$17/hour starting plus fuel reimbursements.
Position is part time, Monday-Friday, every other week. Daily collection hours average 5 hours. Additional tasks are performed at flexible times, and on other weeks. Additional Position responsibilities and hours are available for experienced and motivated person.
Additional regular raises based on performance and company growth.
