Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents effectively. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies while following established protocols.
• Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities within the facility.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for record-keeping purposes.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide assistance during investigations.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
• Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations while maintaining composure under pressure.

Skills

• Certification in security or law enforcement is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is essential.
• Experience in conflict management to handle disputes effectively.
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and techniques.
• Proficiency in operating surveillance systems, including CCTV monitoring.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with diverse individuals and groups.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
