Position Summary
The Director of Infection Prevention ensures high quality, patient-centered care by coordinating the hospital-wide Infection Control Program, which includes surveillance, analysis, and reporting of nosocomial infections, education of staff, and the development of health system policies and procedures to ensure rigorous infection control standards that meet regulatory requirements. In collaboration with the Infection Prevention (IP) Committee, the Director of Infection Prevention makes decisions relative to the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections and blood-borne pathogens. The Director of Infection Prevention develops and maintains policies and procedures that support successful quality/patient safety outcomes and ongoing improvement in the delivery of healthcare to patients, identification of areas of opportunity, and coordination and execution of regulatory compliance programs in accordance with federal, state and local agencies.

Qualifications
Educaiton & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Related Field, required
- Master's Degree in Health Related Field, preferred
- 5 years in clinical setting, required
- 2 years in a leadership role, required
- 5 years in Infection Control, required
Licensure, Certifications, Training:
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse or licensed professional in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Certification in Infection Control
