We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at The Good Samaritan in Euclid, MN. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.
About the Role
The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver to our residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Assist with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining/recording vital signs.
- Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Transfer, reposition, and walk residents using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Document resident interactions as needed and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) is preferred but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or state-certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
